Jackson - 5 months

Jackson is already 5 months old. It's crazy how much faster time goes by with your second than with your first. Jackson is still a good baby. He overall sleeps pretty good at night. He doesn't sleep through the night yet. He wakes up once or twice to eat, but only for a few minutes then goes right back to sleep. He is down to taking only 3-4 naps a day. He is such a sweet boy and we love him to death!

Nursery

Kallie went to nursery for the first time today. She did okay at first, but then she realized that we were gone and started to cry. I ended up staying in there the rest of the time with her.

Babysitting

My parents are on a cruise to the Panama Canal, so we are staying at their house this week helping out. Kallie loves being here and being able to see Ashlyn and Brynn every day.

Baby Brother

Nap Time

Today I put Kallie down for a nap around 2:00. We have a video monitor, so I watched her for awhile. She was playing with her blanket and baby. This is pretty normal for her to do before she falls asleep. I started doing laundry and cleaning. Around 2:45 I looked at the monitor and she was still awake. I went in her room and said, "Are you going to take a nap today?" She said no and shook her head no at the same time. Then I asked her if she wanted to get out and she said yes (and shook her head yes). Looks like she's going without a nap today.

Kallie - 19 months

Kallie is 19 months old today! She is changing so much each day. The newest thing that she has learned how to do is say yes and shake her head yes. She understands most of the things I say, which has been a nice change. She has also learned a lot of new words. She is always repeating things that I say. She is a really good helper. She likes to clean the floor with her baby wipes, separate the laundry, carry laundry baskets that are full of clothes down the stairs, and she loves helping me out with Jackson. She can get the wipes, diapers, toys, binkis, and blankets. I'm sad that she is getting older, but I love the stage that she is in now. She is so much fun!

Kallie - 19 months old

She still loves taking care of her little brother.
She always makes sure he has a blanket and a binki.

She occasionally throws fits.

She loves to entertain Jackson.

She has learned to keep her headbands on!
But now her hair is at a funny length where the headbands
are starting to look weird. She will not keep elastics or clips in.

She loves barking back at the neighbor's dogs.

She loves laying in her crib with Jackson.

Cute Kids

Today I put Jackson on the couch and went in the other room to get something and came back to this. Kallie went and got Jackson's blanket, sat next to him and made sure the blanket was covering both of them.

Rice Cereal

Tonight we fed Jackson rice cereal for the first time. I'm not going to officially start Jackson on rice cereal and solids until he is 6 months old. Kallie even got a spoon and started feeding him...then it turned in to her feeding herself! Both of them really liked the rice cereal.

Siena's Birthday Party

Tonight we went to Siena's Birthday Party at Kangaroo Zoo. I wasn't sure if Kallie would like it, because last time we went (during the summer) she just cried the whole time. But this time she loved it.

Pizza

Kallie loves helping me in the kitchen. Tonight she helped me make pizza. When I wasn't looking, she would eat the dough. Little stinker!

Lip syncing

Kallie has loved to dance since she was really little. She has now turned it up a notch and has started lip syncing too. It is hilarious!

Jackson loved the car show. Josh is hoping Jackson will like cars just as much as he does.

Kallie stayed home with Grandma and spent time trying on other people's shoes!

Poor Baby

This is why Kallie can't be left alone in a room with Jackson. Look what she does to her own baby.

Car

Kallie thinks that every time she rides in her car, Jackson should too. She yells "Jacks" and hits the seat until we put him in with her. She is such a good big sister!

Jaclyn's Wedding

Jaclyn and Matt were married today! It's crazy to think my little sister is old enough to get married. Everything went really well and we're excited to have Matt in the family!

Everyone (including Kallie) was exhausted by the end of the night!

Cabin

On Tuesday (December 28th) I went to the cabin with our kids. Josh had to work, so he didn't come up until Thursday. It was so cold outside. Most days, it was barely above 0. When we went sledding in the meadow, Josh had icicles dripping off his chin. Kallie loved her snowsuit, especially her boots.
