Jackson is now 16 months old. He is such a fun and busy little boy. He is constantly getting in to everything. He thinks he is a monkey and is always climbing. He follows his sister around and tries to do everything she does. Jackson is still a good eater. He eats all day long. He is always opening up the cereal drawer for snacks. He will grab a handful and go sit at his table and eat. It is so cute. He is just like his dad...has to be eating all day long. He weighs 27 pounds and wears 6 1/2 size shoes. I have only found one pair of shoes that fit him right now. He is wearing 18 month clothes, although some of them are getting small. I have started buying 2T, which makes me sad! I can't believe how fast he is growing. I swear the second kid grows up even faster than the first. He can sign food, milk and more (but always whines while signing them). He can wave hi/bye and blow kisses. My favorite thing about Jackson right now is he gets SO excited when I come home from work. He squeals and runs to me. It is the best! We love Jackson so much and can't imagine our lives without him!

Christmas Day
When I asked Kallie what she wanted Santa to bring her for Christmas, she told me a Diego bike and a helmet (she made up her own sign for helmet). It was fun to watch Kallie open her presents. Jackson enjoyed opening presents too, but easily got distracted. Luckily Kallie was there to help Jackson. I wrapped most of Kallie's presents in Dora wrapping paper and Jackson's in Thomas the Train paper, so Kallie could easily tell which ones were hers and which were Jacksons. She was really good about finding Jacksons presents and she would hand them to him and say, "Here Jacksies."
Jackson didn't even care about his car tent. He wanted Kallie's bike.
So excited for her bike!
Ready for church. They are getting closer and closer to the same size. It is crazy!
I love this picture. She was so excited for each present she opened!
Grandma gave Kallie this Dora that is almost as big as her. She also got a small Dora that came with a book I gave her. She calls the big Dora "mommy dora" and the small Dora "baby dora."
Jackson was more interested in the ornaments.
The blanket I had made for my parents. (Memorymixer.com - it's the best!)
Jackson's favorite toy - a broom. Thanks Great Grandma Ida!
She wore her helmet for most of the day. She even wanted to wear it to take a nap.
The blanket we made Josh's mom.
She loves her bike! For those of you who are wondering....it's a balance bike. There are no pedals.
Jackson kept following her, hoping he would get a turn.

Christmas Eve
Kallie - 2 1/2 years old
- She loves Dora and Diego. She could watch these shows all day if I let her.
- She says "espera" all the time, especially to Jackson.
- She is really sweet and is constantly giving me hugs and telling me she loves me.
- She talks non-stop and I can tell what she is saying 90% of the time.
- She loves to sing and knows most of the words to these songs: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Popcorn Popping, Wheels on the Bus, I am a Child of God, The Wise man and the Foolish man, Itsy Bitsy Spider, I'm bringing home a Baby Bumblebee, and Jingle Bells
- She is a good listener.
- She is a good big sister and is always helping with Jackson. She has recently given him the nickname "Jacksies".
- She is polite and is always saying please and thank you.
- When she gets upset, she is really good at listening to us and then she says, "otay." She doesn't scream and throw fits like I see some other two year olds do (thank goodness).
- She still hates nursery. She will start crying during the closing song because she knows what is next. People keep telling me she will get used to it, but it's been a year and she still cries every time we drop her off. She cries and says, "Mommy don't leave me." It breaks my heart.
- She thinks medicine and bandaids will make everything all better.

Kallie's Phrases
It amazes me how many words Kallie can say. She says many new words a day. Here are some phrases lately...
- "Hello! How are you? (pauses for a few seconds) Good!" (She says this as she holds a phone to her ear.)
- "Mommy, I love you." (my favorite)
- "Mom, Jacks hit me."
- "Oh no! Jacks got my milk. Jacks! Give me my milk!"
- "I want a dora bike and a helmet." (She says this when we ask her what Santa is bringing her for Christmas. She also signs bike and helmet while she says the words.)
- "I don't like it." (She tells me this when she doesn't want to try a new food or when she doesn't want to do something I ask her to do."
- "I don't like diapers mommy. I like pullups." (This girl needs to be potty-trained soon!)
- "Baby blue bird fall out of tree. Baby blue bird is sad. Baby blue bird wants its mommy." (She says this with a really sad tone in her voice. I try not to laugh every time she tells me this.)
- "Where's my daddy, mommy?" (She LOVES her daddy.)
- "Mom this is delicious!"
- "Mom you need scissors." (She said this today as I was trying to open a package.)
- "I get my swim suit. I go to the beach!"

Climber
Jackson has learned how to climb up on everything...the couch, the kitchen counter, tables, and chairs! I look away for a few seconds and then find him on the counter. And he is fast!
