Jackson has been really fussy lately, and this is the only thing that kept him happy today. He was only happy as long as Kallie was spinning him in circles. Kallie laughed the whole time.
Can you see the mess in Kallie's room? I already cleaned it once today and I've realized as soon as I clean it, she decides it's a game and makes another mess. Also, she didn't want to wear a shirt today AND she wouldn't let me take off her pajama pants. It's just been one of those days. Oh well!

New Computer
Today Josh got his Birthday/Christmas present...
I wanted him to wait until his birthday to open it, but with the 14 day return policy he decided he had to open it today and make sure he really wanted it (nice excuse, eh?).

Kallie - 17 months
Kallie is 17 months old today. She has learned so many things this past month. She has learned many new signs and many new words. She has also mastered going up AND down the stairs without help. It's nice not to have a gate up blocking the stairs. Although it was a good work out constantly stepping over it!
Today we went to Challenger to have a Thanksgiving lunch with Ashlyn and Brynn.

Christmas Tree
Tonight we put the Christmas tree up. As soon as Kallie saw the tree she got very excited and started signing tree and saying tree (more like tees). We never even said anything about it being a tree. She is a smart girl. Then when we turned the lights on, she touched one and said, "hot." We didn't hang all the ornaments on the tree that we usually do because I'm not going to spend the whole month putting them back on (thanks to Kallie). We also didn't put up as many decorations. I realized we don't have a lot of "child proof" Christmas decorations.

Wolf Creek Again
We went to Wolf Creek again this weekend to finish up using our points. They expire November 30th, so we wanted to use them before Thanksgiving. Ignore Kallie's "matching" outfit in this first picture. She leaked through so I put her pajama bottoms on, but didn't put the top on until bedtime.

Cold
One of the new signs Kallie has learned this past week is cold. She does this every time we go outside too. I love it!
Prayers
Tonight when I was getting dinner ready, I put Kallie in her high chair and she immediately folded her arms and started saying a prayer. I couldn't understand anything, but it was so cute. I love that she knows we say prayers before we eat. She is a smart girl. It is amazing how much she is learning every day. I love being her mom!

Wolf Creek
This weekend we went up to Wolf Creek to use some of our experience points with Worldmark. They tried to get us to go to another presentation (we've already been to 5). But of course they have no "record" of us ever going to any presentations. I told the lady we weren't going to another one, then she told me she would give us something to make it worth our time if we went to one more. She gave us a $50 American Express Visa, so we decided it was worth it to sit through another one. The salesman was friend's with Josh's brother growing up and didn't try to convince us to buy one once we told him there was no way. It was fun to get away for the weekend, even if there is absolutely nothing to do in Wolf Creek! I didn't have my camera out a lot (which is not like me), so I only got a few pictures.

SNOW
Today we woke up to snow on the ground. Kallie was so excited. She looked out the window and pointed to it saying ra ra (for rain) and she signed rain. I tried to get her to say snow, but she kept saying ra ra. She has learned so many signs lately. And she's starting to say the word with the sign (although most of the time it sounds nothing like the word).

Stairs
Kallie is obsessed with the stairs lately. She goes up and down them many times a day all by herself.

Dad Josh
Kallie now refuses to say dad or da da. Instead she calls him Josh. She loves saying words with "sh" in them (shoes, ash, fish, and now josh). She occasionally says "dad josh", but she won't just say dad. Here is the conversation I've been listening to lately...
And this pattern repeats itself MANY times. Especially when we are in the car.
Kallie: Josh
Daddy: Kallie
Kallie: Josh
Daddy: Kallie
Kallie: Josh
Daddy: Kalls
Kallie: Dad Josh!
Daddy: Kallie
Kallie: Josh
And this pattern repeats itself MANY times. Especially when we are in the car.

Dr. Appointment - Jackson
Today Jackson had his 2 month doctor appointment. He is 11 pounds 4 oz (50th percentile) and 22.75 inches (75th percentile). He has almost doubled his weight in 2 months! Like I have said before, he is a really good baby and rarely cries. But after his shots today he SCREAMED! I have never heard him do that before. As soon as I came back in the room and held him, he settled down really fast though.
