Kallie - 18 months

Kallie is now 18 months old. I feel like she learns something new each day and is changing so fast. She has started to sign a lot more and say a lot of words.
Words Kallie can sign:

  1. drink
  2. water
  3. eat
  4. food
  5. banana
  6. please
  7. thank you
  8. mom
  9. grandma
  10. grandpa
  11. sun
  12. moon
  13. car
  14. bus
  15. horse
  16. dog/puppy
  17. frog
  18. bug
  19. baby
  20. again
  21. more
  22. potty
  23. outside
  24. shoes
  25. socks
  26. hat
  27. Corinne (Corinne taught her this)
  28. sleep
  29. night
  30. tree
  31. me
  32. you
  33. wash hands
  34. brush teeth

Words Kallie can say:
  1. Josh
  2. Dad
  3. Mom
  4. Mommy
  5. Ash
  6. shoes
  7. no
  8. be (binki)
  9. bla (blanket)
  10. sit
  11. Jes (Jesus...sometimes she says Jes and sometimes Jesus)
  12. Pease (for please)
  13. cheese
  14. Jacks (for Jackson)
  15. Dal (for Dallin)
  16. me
  17. wash

Things I want to remember about Kallie at this age:
  • She can point to Jesus when we ask where he is.
  • She has learned to pick her nose.
  • She climbs up on everything.
  • She is a good helper. She loves to get her brother his diapers and she is good at cleaning up. If she spills anything, she gets a towel and cleans it up.
  • When Jackson cries she yells "Mom....Jacks!"
  • When it's dinner time and we put her in her chair, the first thing she does is folds her arms to say a prayer. She tries to say the prayer too!
  • She likes to sort the laundry. As she sorts her laundry basket she makes two piles. One for her clothes and one for Jackson's. When she is done sorting, she takes all of Jackson's clothes to him.
  • She is obsessed with shoes. She loves to try on other people's shoes and walk around. Especially my high hills.
  • She loves to vacuum.
  • She hates when I use a hair dryer.
  • She is still obsessed with her little brother.

She is too cute. Emma really started to put words together and say a lot more once she hit 18 months, so just wait until she won't stop talking. It is fun, but she says so much that we can't understand which is frustrating too. That is really cool that you are teaching her sign language. I was too afraid that it would slow down her talking so I didn't teach her anything.
