I have been trying to teach Kallie to count to ten. This is what it sounds like:
Mom: one
Kallie: one
Mom: two
Kallie: two
Mom: three
Kallie: three
Mom: four
Kallie: four
Mom: five
Kallie: six
Mom: seven
Kallie: seven
Mom: eight
Kallie: eight
Mom: nine
Kallie: nine
Mom: ten
Kallie: YEAH!!!! (and she claps her hands)
So as you can see, I can't get her to say five or ten!

That is pretty much how Emma counts. She can do it by herself if I ask her to, but she always skips 2 and 8. It is like she has a personal grudge against those numbers. I am hoping that after me yelling 8 after she says 7 that she will evenutally get it.
Brooke beat me to it with her story of Emma--it's so cute to hear little kids say their numbers and alphabet. At least she knows what comes after five?? ;)
